The Plaza Hotel in the heart of New York City is undoubtedly one of the most iconic wedding venues in the world. Not only is it known for its beauty, history and architecture, but it has been made famous through countless movies. Every little girl who sees the Plaza Hotel wants to get married there, it’s just that incredible. As a New York wedding Photographer, it is always a pleasure to photograph weddings there.
For Juliet and Mike, their fairytale wedding day came true at the Plaza Hotel. They hosted their entire day there from getting ready photos, to couple’s photos and their amazing ceremony and reception. It made the entire day flow so smoothly, and everyone in attendance was able to enjoy the day with a leisurely pace.
Some of my favorite photos of the day were Juliet’s getting ready photos. Her beautiful beaded tulle wedding dress was the perfect fit for their Plaza Hotel wedding. Every piece of her jewelry and details added a elegant, sparkly touch to the day. It was also just so fitting for her kind personality! Plus, there is just something about a black-tie New York City wedding day.
Their wedding ceremony was in one of the many ballrooms within the Plaza Hotel. It was extraordinary! The room itself boasted a large, antique chandelier and immaculately detailed arched ceilings that needed very little else to compliment them. Because of that, Juliet and Mike kept their décor simple to allow the room to show itself off.
Their reception was a totally different feel. Opulent, luxurious and truly elegant are just a few words to describe it. The ball room they hosted it in is everything that makes me love New York City wedding days. The gold details, rainbow wedding cake, and marvelous architecture had nothing on how joyful Juliet and Mike were. Their smiles as they spun around the room for their first dance said it all. They were just so thankful to finally be husband and wife.
